Control of heat affected zone microstructure formation during laser-light hybrid welding of steels

The article deals with some new advantages of hybrid laser light technology. The model of combined action of laser beam and high power arc lamp radiation has been developed with consideration of radiation transfer and heat-mass transfer phenomena. The kinetic model of phase transformations in steel also has been developed for simulation of microstructure formation in laser-light temperature cycle. The simulation results as well as experimental ones approved a possibility to influence on microstructure formation by changes of parameters of hybrid laser-light action on low carbon steel. More...
